Welcome to Myland Community Primary School's website!

Whether you are a current pupil or parent, have a past association with our school or are simply browsing, you are very welcome!

We are a thriving, friendly and successful community school of 315 pupils, situated in North Colchester. Our aim is to provide the highest quality of teaching and learning for every pupil in a secure and happy environment.

Our school is organised into 11 classes, with skilled staff who know each child very well. Despite being a large school, we still retain a 'family feel' and benefit from very positive partnerships between home and school. Our school was last inspected in February 2020, when Ofsted confirmed that we remain a GOOD school (with OUTSTANDING Early Years provision).

Our school is also proud to be a national English Hub, one of only 34 schools across the country with this status, designated by the Department for Education.  We are recognised for our highly effective practice in the teaching of Early Reading and Phonics and we regularly host visitors from other schools, as well as supporting teachers across the East of England in their own schools.

I hope that our website gives you an idea of the wide range of opportunities we offer our pupils. Please feel welcome to contact the school for further information.
